1 thick slice rustic bread (sourdough or country loaf)
1/2 cup ricotta
12 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for the ricotta)
Pinch of salt
46 strawberries, sliced
46 basil leaves, torn
Extra honey (optional, to drizzle)
Cracked black pepper (optional, surprisingly good)
Method
Toast the bread: Toast until deeply golden and crisp.
Whip the ricotta: In a small bowl, whisk ricotta with a pinch of salt (and honey/maple if using) until lighter and creamy.
Assemble: Smear whipped ricotta thickly over the toast.
Top: Add sliced strawberries and torn basil.
Finish: Scatter Original Balsamic Pearls generously. If a little of the dark balsamic liquid clings to the pearls, let it drip naturally for that glossy, just-spooned look.
